What’s your definition of romantic?

Love is a complicated feeling that defies definition. It’s something we all strive for, but often struggle to understand. We try to make sense of it, to break it down into manageable parts, but it remains elusive and mysterious.

For many, love is a journey of self-discovery, an exploration of the depths of our own hearts and souls. We stumble and fall along the way, often bruising ourselves and those we care about in the process. But love also has the power to heal, to soothe the wounds we inflict upon ourselves and others.

In the midst of all this confusion and uncertainty, there are moments of clarity and joy, when love shines through like a beacon of light in the darkness. It’s in these moments that we begin to understand what love truly is.

Love is when someone makes you smile, even when you don’t feel like it. Love is when they help you heal, effortlessly and without trying. Love is when they show you kindness and compassion, even if they don’t fully understand your pain.

Love is when someone heals a heart they never broke, as if it’s something they were born to do. Love is when it just happens, without explanation or justification. Love is when you have a feeling that this person is your person.

Love is when you argue about who loves the most, not because it’s a competition, but because you both love so deeply. Love is when you say “I love you” to fill the gaps when you have nothing else to say. Love is when you kiss and everything feels like a dream.

Love is when you talk for hours on end, day and night, about anything and everything. Love is when you apologize without ego, because losing the other person is more scary than being right. Love is when you tell each other stories and make sure the other person is asleep.

Love is when someone is not just your lover, but also your best friend. Love is when you feel completely comfortable being yourself around them, without fear of judgment or rejection.

But sometimes, despite all the love in the world, two people just can’t be together. Maybe it’s because of timing, distance, or circumstances beyond their control. It’s a painful realization, but one that can be accepted with grace and understanding.

Love is a complicated feeling, full of ups and downs, joys and sorrows. But even in its most complicated moments, it remains a powerful force that can change our lives in ways we never thought possible.

This is something I originally wrote on my Medium account, and now I’m sharing it here.

Oops! I stopped blogging again, but I’ll talk about it later.

Until next time.
